German Battleship Tirpitz - Norway, 1944 1:700th Scale. Die Cast and Metal Construction.  Can be displayed with hull on Display stand or as a waterline model. Ages 14 and Over.
The Battleship Tirpitz was the sister ship to the Bismack and the largest battleship of WWII. Just slightly larger than her sister ship. While she never fired a shot at an enemy ship during her short carea, her presence in the Atlantic posed a serious threat to allied shipping. Bristling with a deadly assortment of powerful guns and a pair of quadruple torpedo tubes made her the target of several sinking attempts by British forces. She was finally sunk by British Lancaster bombers during operation Catechism on November 12, 1944. Ages 14 and Up.
